Super Bowl Ratings Crash to Lowest Level Since 1969, Least Watched Since 2006
The ratings for Super Bowl 55 are in, and the news is not good. The numbers show that viewership fell nine percent, making the game the lowest-rated Super Bowl in more than 50 years.
“CBS averaged 91.629 million TV-only viewers for the Buccaneers’ blowout of the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV, the game’s lowest TV viewership since ’06 when Steelers-Seahawks averaged 90.75 million on ABC. That figure is down from just over 100 million TV-only viewers for Chiefs-49ers last year,” Sports Business Daily reported.

Suicide Rate Keeps Rising Among Young Americans
A nearly 60% jump in suicides by young Americans since 2007 has experts alarmed and somewhat puzzled.
Suicides among children and young people aged 10 to 24 rose 57% from 2007 to 2018, according to a new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
"The increase in youth suicide has been pervasive across the U.S. No area is immune," said report author Sally Curtin of the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics. "Hopefully, these data will inform prevention efforts."
The surge was broad: 42 states had statistically significant increases between 2007-2009 and 2016-2018. Eight had statistically insignificant increases. Thirty-two states had hikes of 30% to 60%.
In actual numbers, the suicide rate among 10- to 24-year-olds jumped from about 7 per 100,000 in 2007 to nearly 11 per 100,000 in 2018, according to the National Vital Statistics Report published Sept. 11.

Cancel Culture is getting canceled at a VERY quick pace. The Daily Show viewership increased MASSIVELY since Jon Stewart cracked jokes about Biden. Shane Gillis not only hosted SNL from getting fired from it, but he also got a Bud Light AND a Netflix deal. And J.K. Rowling just keeps on winning despite Twitter's attempt to end her career. Pretty soon those who participated in 'cancel culture' will be looked at with as much disdain as crusty hippies were in the mid-1980s. It's so 2017.

Plus, Anheuser Busch is still reeling from is massive marketing mistake. Sales are plunging, the stock price plunged in the span of just five days (costing the company some $4+ billion in market cap) and the customer base for Bud Light may never return.
Amid this backdrop, the company's CEO finally tries to apologise for the blunder. Interestingly, in the statement, the CEO tries to play up the company's American roots. For the record, the American company Anheuser Busch was sold years ago to a Brazilian and Belgian beer company. It's no longer simply an 'American' company, it's a global conglomerate.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Jack Teixiera has been arrested in Massachusetts amid allegations of being the one to leak the classified Pentagon documents posted on the social media platform Discord.
According to the charging documents, the airman with the Massachusetts Air National Guard allegedly began posting secret information online around December of 2022. The documents included a wide range of classified information about eavesdropping on allies as well as foes. It also suggests the U.S. is doing far better than Russia in the Ukraine war. I have a lot of questions about this whole story -- including not just why such a young person has such critical access to sensitive materials, but even whether this particular leak might have even benefited the Biden administration in some way?
Speaking of not being able to properly vet government employees, the Biden administration's top LGBTQ+ employee, transgender Sam Brinton, was just sentenced for stealing a woman's luggage at the Las Vegas airport. This person was working in the Nuclear Waste department as an undersecretary for the Department of Energy for Biden's Administration!
